Luna & Max - Siraman

In the heart of Ubud, among lush gardens and gentle light, Luna & Max gathered with their closest loved ones for a meaningful Siraman ceremony at Ubud Village Resort. Rooted in Javanese tradition, the Siraman is a ritual of purification—an offering of blessings and a symbolic cleansing before entering marriage.

Luna was the first to receive the Siraman, embraced by the presence of her mother and maternal figures. Dressed in a soft pastel kebaya, with her paes ageng delicately applied by Mamie Hardo, she sat with grace as water was gently poured over her—each ladle a quiet prayer for clarity, love, and a life of shared purpose. Though the moment was steeped in tradition, it was also deeply personal—a tender space for reflection, emotion, and connection between generations.

Max followed, honouring the heritage passed down through his late mother, who came from Central Java. Though she was not physically present, her spirit was deeply felt. Surrounded by family, Max stepped into the ritual with quiet strength, the water carrying not only blessings, but memory and reverence.

The setting was serene and soulful—designed by Yu Cien from Lotus in collaboration with our team. Frangipani trees, floating petals, and gentle water framed the moment with softness and intention.

This Siraman was more than a ceremony—it was a tribute to love, lineage, and legacy. A pause before the celebration, where Luna & Max began their journey grounded in meaning, respect, and heartfelt tradition.
